    Being that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I wanted to share a few images of pink being used in a chic and sophisticated way.  I think it would be fun and more heartfelt to think creatively about how we can honor our loved ones who have gone through it or are currently going through it.   How can we support the cause and honor their memory in a deeper, more meaningful way in our homes?  Maybe it’s a chair that you sit in daily, a door that greets you when you come home, or a piece of artwork that you walk by everyday.  Here are some of my ideas…

{A commitment and a project, but they’re worth it}

  • Reupholster Granny’s sofa or settee
  • Wallpaper a closet, bathroom, or foyer
  • Paint a door in your home…bathroom, closet, or laundry room
  • Paint a piece of furniture

{A few ideas that don’t require special skills}

  • A bouquet of fresh flowers
  • A beautiful piece of artwork
  • Throw pillows
  • A collection of glassware or china

Think about how you can create a beautiful reminder of your loved one in a more thoughtful way and bring pink into your home.  Thanks for stopping by!
